Our dedicated team of experienced professionals are utilizing their unique skills and passion to move the work of our Non-Profit Organization forward. We’re always pushing ourselves to raise awareness about MIS-C, Post Covid Issues, and invisible and Chronic Illness. Our goal is to help advocate for those who need us most - the pediatric population. Meet some of our incredible leaders and advocates below.
Founder and President

Rachel Dutra is the founder and President of the nonprofit CircumSTANCE INC, which created the first-ever official awareness campaign for the pediatric population being affected by MIS-C in relation to COVID-19. As an Invisible illness warrior herself, Rachel is at the forefront of creating awareness and advocacy for those affected by Invisible and chronic illnesses, MIS-C, and Long Haul Symptoms related to the Global Covid pandemic. Rachel’s advocacy and dedication to spreading awareness about MIS-C during the Pandemic have helped save children’s lives. She has been featured in Yahoo News and collaborated with the Washington Post for their piece on the Children affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic. The CircumSTANCE MIS-C Awareness Campaign and advocacy work have been featured in both Fox News and ABC News.

With us since our founding, Sandy is one of our veteran team members. They bring their years of experience and skills in the medical field to the forefront in helping our organization grow and succeed. Sandy has been in the medical billing/coding and compliance field for over 30 years and has held numerous high level titles in the industry. Her passion is to help advocate for families affected by MIS-C, and invisible and chronic illness.

Andrew joined CircumSTANCE with the vision and drive to improve upon our Non-Profit Organization, and focused on developing the organization with experience and integrity. Andrew has worked in the project management field for over 15 years.
Advocate
•Community Outreach Specialist -Bilingual
Sara C. is a vocal advocate for MIS-C and PIMS. She joined CircumSTANCE after her son experienced a life-threatening case of MIS-C. When her son Santana was being treated, she realized just how much awareness was lacking in the medical community and hospital systems. Sara has numerous years of experience working in the hospital setting, as well as the marketing field. She is dedicated and passionate about her advocacy work and she strives to help many more families affected by MIS-C and long term post COVID issues. Sara is also focused on providing community support for other parents affected by Medical Trauma related to their children’s hospital stays.
